How to be Empowered and Fearless in One exercise: tap into hidden strength

I am not a woman. But I do manage to hang out with a lot of them at my gym. And Many of the people I train are women, as well. This is a good thing.

One of the things that warms my heart to hear is that they no longer hate the gym when they come to me. And it happens all the time.

Here’s how to achieve that.

Here’s How to be Empowered: the Deadlift

This is mostly a physical thing. But it has a very high psychological payoff as well. Every time a woman works with me, it’s my job to make her aware of how strong she really is.

Caitie wondered how to be empowered and fearless? She surprised herself the first time she came in.

Learn to deadlift. It will have a high pay off for your muscle tissue, and it will help you tap into strength you didn’t know you had.

As you get stronger, you’ll be more comfortable at the gym, and insecure men will be less likely to bother you and piss you off. Especially when you start out lifting them.

On the more inner health side of things, women are more prone to osteoporosis.

Exercise has positive effects on bone density, and a deadlift is a great way to help with that.

Everything from your feet upward gets stressed in a deadlift, and the musculoskeletal rewards will be great.

I hope this primer helps. It might not alleviate all of your concerns, but I hope it is a step in the right direction. If you have any questions on how to deadlift, email me or you can join the discussion on my facebook page.

Here’s to an empowered and healthier you.
